Faith and Single Motherhood By Choice

I thought I would begin my first post with a question that I've been searching for: are there any single mothers by choice out there who are active members of a faith community? I'm curious as to what kind of support is available for SMC's from a faith-based perspective?

My church is generally supportive (I'm a member of a more liberal denomination), but honestly am not sure what most people think about this issue. All the searches I do seem to bring up negative commentary on the topic; usually other Christian's condeming the idea of single motherhood by choice. I would welcome comments if anyone else has experience with this.
