We understand; we've been there, done that. When you're trying to get pregnant, it feels like all you can do is think, plan and try to conceive. We tend to forget to have fun and take time to breathe, which isn't necessarily a good thing.
If you feel yourself holding your breath, there are some ways you can deal with it. First, understand that no matter what you do, you will be thinking about getting pregnant when you're TTC. That's just the way it is.
However, this doesn't mean you have to let it rule your life; here are some ideas for keeping a little balance amongst the baby craziness:
1) If you have a partner, make sure you have nights just for the two of you to have fun and goof around; take it slow and really enjoy eachother. Take this time to focus on each other and not on getting pregnant.
2) Find a movie/show/really bad reality TV to get obsessed with; if you find a good enough series, rent the whole series and watch it. This should keep you occupied for quite awhile.
3) Force yourself to take a couple hours a day of baby-worry free time. Take a long bath, read a good book, go out with friends, try a new recipe...your options are endless.
4) Audio books. If you have down time, or are cleaning or driving or doing anything that let's you have idle thinking time, reach for an audio book.
5) Get a hobby. This can range from scrapbooking to taking a ballroom or salsa class once a week; do something you enjoy that you can do consistently.
