When a sperm bank accepts donor sperm, the donor is given a unique Donor ID. This ID is what identifies the sperm as being from the person described in the profile. The Donor ID is how you know you're getting the right donor sperm. That's why it's important that you always obtain a detailed profile from the sperm bank BEFORE you purchase sperm, and double-check that the bank's profile matches the donor described here. This is the only way to be absolutely sure the Donor ID is correct and you're getting the right donor. Also, if you eventually decide to purchase donor sperm, we recommend that you ask your doctor or fertility specialist to check the donor ID once again just before insemination. If you have your doctor perform this last-minute check, you'll eliminate any possibility of having accidentally received the wrong sperm. ALWAYS COMPARE THE SPERM BANK'S DESCRIPTION WITH THE ONE HERE TO MAKE SURE YOU'VE SELECTED THE RIGHT DONOR, AND ALWAYS CHECK THE DONOR ID AGAIN ON THE DAY OF INSEMINATION. | ||||||||||||||||||
